PAGASA : Two Low Pressure Areas Found In Philippines
PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently announced that it spotted two low pressure areas (LPA) in the Philippines.
The weather bureau said that the two weather disturbances were found near Luzon.
According to a post from ABS-CBN, one LPA is found at about 115 kilometers west of the City of Laoag, Ilocos Norte, as told by weather expert Meno Mendoza.
As for the other brewing storm, the bureau’s bulletin said that it is spotted 1, 930 kilometers east of the southern Luzon.
The disturbance is set to enter the country’s area of responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday, and might become a tropical cyclone which, as mentioned in the previous reports, will be named “Marilyn”.
As per the report, the following regions will face rains caused by the southwest monsoon or habagat:
- Cordillera Administrative Region
- Central Luzon
Meanwhile, these areas will face cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms brought by the habagat:
- Metro Manila
- Ilocos Region
- Calabarzon
- Cagayan Valley
As for the rest of the country, they will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
