Before the exit of Jenny from the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the bureau already lifted the wind signals in the affected areas. However, it seems that some areas will still be affected by the weather disturbance.

According to ABS-CBN, Jenny will still keep on strengthen the southwest monsoon or habagat, which will bring rainfall over areas in Luzon, according to the bureau’s weather forecaster Gener Quitlong.

Quitlong further said that the storm’s pull on the monsoon is strong that it continues to affect the entire Luzon division.

Now called Podul internationally, the weather disturbance which previously prompted local governments of affected areas to cancel classes this week, is expected to make landfall on Thursday (August 29) afternoon at southern China.

As per the report, The following areas will face cloudy skies with isolated rains due to the habagat:

  • Mimaropa Region
  • Batangas
  • Bataan
  • Zambales

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather, which will possibly be interrupted by localized thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening, will be experienced by the capital, as well as the rest of the country.

On the other hand, somewhere off the nation’s Pacific coast, the agency detected a cloud cluster that can possibly become a low pressure area (LPA) and bring rains over the weekend.
