MARJORIE BARRETTO – The mother of the Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto speaks about the issues ignited over the jersey number 3.
In a previous article, the photo of the controversial pair Kapamilya artists Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson sporting the same number have caused various speculations coming from different social media platforms. During the Star Magic All-Star Games held yesterday at the Araneta Coliseum they both wore number 3 jersey.
However, there were netizens who argued that it was just pure coincidental because both of them, even before all their issues, wore that number in their games. In the event held yesterday, Gerald’s team won the basketball while Julia’s team got defeated by their opponent Team Kim Chiu.
And now, with all the speculations being made because of the “couple jersey”, the mother of the young actress, Marjorie Barretto, spoke up about it. She said and explained that ever since, number 3 has always been the number of Julia and same goes for Gerald. There are photos of them over the internet to prove that they have the same number even before they were able to work together and the malicious rumors about the two of them escalated.
She said, “Let me correct this before the story gets big and out of hand again. Number 3 has always been Julia’s jersey number since her high school volleyball varsity days. No special meaning.”
