MisterCanada Admits to Being Diagnosed With Autism at a Young Age
MISTER WORLD – The representative of Canda for Mister World 2019, Alessandro Coward, admitted to being diagnosed with autism at the age of twelve.
Male beauty pageant ‘Mister World’ is sponsored by Miss World Organizations. Several countries from around the world participated in this biennial competition.
The 10th edition of Mr. World 2019 is scheduled to be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum this coming August 23. Pageant fanatics in the Philippines will surely flock on the venue.
Based on a report from Rappler, JB Saliba will represent the Philippines for Mr. World 2019. He said he’s looking forward to meeting all of his rivals on the pageant.
“Sobrang masayang ma-meet ko silang lahat. We’ve all been only talking in the group chats. So magkakilala na rin kami doon,” said Saliba.
One of his rivals, Mister World Canada Alessandro Coward, who had an exclusive with GMA News admitted something to the media.
The 21-year-old Canadian said he wants to spread kindness to the rest of the world if he wins the Mr. World title. “I’d love to bring that back to the world the little bit of kindness,” he said.
“Because a lot of people judge you on different things about being human… everyone makes mistakes, no one’s perfect. What’s important is that you are able to move forward with your mistakes in a positive light,” said Coward.
According to the report, Alessandro Coward expressed that he and his Canadian fellowmen embrace all kinds of people simply because they’re human.
“Everyone makes mistakes, no one’s perfect. What’s important is that you are able to move forward with your mistakes in a positive light… that you are able to look at a human and not go, ‘I don’t like him because of these points…”
“But to look at it from the other side and go ‘I love him because he’s human first and I really like these characteristics about him cause they’re positive and because I see myself from that person… and I think for me, what’s amazing with Canada is that we embrace everyone,” he added.
Based on the report, Mr. World Canada admitted to being diagnosed with autism at the age of twelve. He said he didn’t let his disorder stop him from aiming to become the voice of change.
“Being part of Mr. World for me is something that I’m proud of, to portfolio my autism… I’m autistic by birth and I learned that I was autistic by age twelve.”
This blue-eyed candidate is undoubtedly one of the most competitive contestants of the prestigious pageant.
