Malacañang Palace has finally released a statement regarding the defecating incident in the famous island of Boracay involving a Chinese tourist.

Earlier this week, the viral video of a Chinese tourist who allegedly let her child poop near the shoreline of the popular tourist destination garnered negative reactions from the social media users and Filipino citizens.

In the video, the Chinese woman is washing the child’s buttocks on the beach while her colleague was reportedly burying the kid’s soiled diaper. After a few moments, the foreigner act as nothing happened.

The government decided to cordoned and temporarily close a certain portion of Boracay Island where the incident happened for a cleanup. The authorities aim to clean and keep the island from any forms of pollution.
