LUPANG HINIRANG LYRICS – Here is a full text of the Philippine National Anthem.
Every country has her own national anthem. In the Philippines, the Philippine national anthem is entitled Lupang Hinirang. It is usually sang in schools and as well as city and municipality halls during the flag ceremony.
When singing Lupang Hinirang, the right hand is placed on the left chest with the body straight and other hand freely pointing downward. Patriotic Filipinos really stop whatever they’re doing to stand and pay respect whenever the national anthem is played.
The Philippine national anthem was written by Jose Palma. It was Filipino composer Juian Felipe who composed the tune for it. With regards to the full Lupang Hinirang lyrics, here it is:
Bayang magiliw,
Perlas ng silanganan,
Alab ng puso
Sa dibdib mo’y buhay.
Lupang hinirang,
Duyan ka ng magiting,
Sa manlulupig
Di ka pasisiil.
Sa dagat at bundok,
Sa simoy at sa langit mong bughaw,
May dilag ang tula
At awit sa paglayang minamahal.
Ang kislap ng watawat mo’y
Tagumpay na nagniningning;
Ang bituin at araw niya,
Kailan pa ma’y di magdidilim.
Lupa ng araw,
ng luwalhati’t pagsinta,
Buhay ay langit sa piling mo;

Aside from the Philippine national anthem, during the flag ceremonies, teachers and students also recite the Patriotic Oath of the Philippines or Panatang Makabayan.
