Lea Salonga Reacts To Sharon Cuneta Reason for Skipping ‘The Voice Kids’ Season 4
LEA SALONGA – Kapamilya singer Lea Salonga reacted to Sharon Cuneta’s reason for skipping ‘The Voice Kids’ season 4.
The judges of the past season of ABS-CBN’s singing competition ‘The Voice Kids’ are Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, Lea Salonga, and Sharon Cuneta. The four of them became the mentors of the aspiring singers in the country. However, Sharon will not be turning her chair for the show’s 4th season.
In a previous article, Megastar Sharon Cuneta revealed the reason why she chose not to be part of the program.
Sharon Cuneta explained that she couldn’t handle the stress each time one of her kids get eliminated on the competition. She also shared that she’ll be busy with her upcoming concert with Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.
Meanwhile, Miss Saigon Lea Salonga aired her thoughts about the Megastar’s statement.
Based on a report from PEP, Lea Salonga expressed that she understand Sharon Cuneta’s decision. She said the management will just return the show to its original format.
“Normally for kids naman it’s just three and I guess they went to the original coaches first before asking anybody else, who is available, so I think it was [that],” she said.
According to the report, Lea Salonga admitted that she also got affected each time she was forced to eliminate one of the kids.
“I think even Sharon came out with a press release saying that it was a very difficult experience for her because she tends to get attached… So when you have to do Battle Round, which means you have to be the one cutting people down, it’s difficult.”
The veteran singer seemingly wants young aspiring singers to learn how to handle defeat and how to stand up once again and become better singers in the future.
