PDEA Arrest School Principal During Anti-Drug Operation
A school principal was among three individuals arrested during an anti-drug operation in Barangay Central, Mati City, Davao Oriental.
On March 2, 2026, the operation took place late in the afternoon at around 4:45 p.m. and was led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Davao Oriental Provincial Office. Authorities were conducting a buy-bust operation targeting a suspected drug den in the area when the arrests were made.
One of those taken into custody was identified only by the alias Jay. He is said to be a resident of Lupon, Davao Oriental. Officials confirmed that he works as a school principal, but they did not reveal the name of the school where he is assigned.

Another suspect, known by the alias Nene, was believed to be the person managing the alleged drug den. Authorities said this individual was the one who sold illegal drugs to an undercover agent during the operation.
A third person, identified as alias John, was also arrested at the scene. During the raid, officers recovered around five grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P50,000. Drug paraphernalia was also found inside the location.
All three suspects are now under police custody. They are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
As of this writing, authorities have not released further information while the investigation is still ongoing.
