Maxene Magalona showed positivity amid being stranded in Dubai
Actress Maxene Magalona shared on Instagram that she and her partner, Geoff Gonzalez, are currently stranded in Dubai amid tensions in the Middle East.
A war between the United States of America and Iran erupted last weekend. With this, many Filipinos in the Middle East were put in danger. Because of this unexpected happening, flights were cancelled, just like what happened to actress Anne Curtis.
Through Anne’s social media post, she shared that she experienced a flight diversion when she flew from Milan to Dubai because of the conflict.

Maxene Magalona also shared in a recent social media post that they were stranded in Dubai because of the same reason. “Currently stranded/divinely placed in Dubai,” she wrote in her post.
Based on Maxene’s post, “Dubai is navigating a period of high alert and significant disruption following a series of missile and drone attacks launched by Iran across the region.”
Because of this, all flights have been cancelled. The airport has also been closed indefinitely until further notice. She and her partner, Geoff, have been there for six days already. However, the actress said that she felt safe and peaceful amid the ongoing war.
Maxene also shared that the UAE government has the best defense system, as it was able to intercept more than a hundred missile and drone attacks.
With this, Maxene said, “Now, more than ever, I feel God’s presence and protection.” She also said that she and Geoff felt so grateful for having a friend who had encouraged them to stay calm in the midst of chaos.
Then, the actress recalled the time when she was stranded in Bali back in 2020. At that time, she was scared and stressed because she was alone, but right now, she feels blessed for having her partner with her, and he takes good care of her.
Maxene Magalona also shared her message to all the Filipinos in Dubai amid the current conflict.
“To all our kababayans in Dubai and the Philippines—I send you healing and peaceful energy [star emoji] Try your best not to focus too much on what you’re seeing in the news but rather keep your eyes and heart focused on God. Trust and surrender that He has a divine plan for all of us,” she wrote.
The actress also shared her appreciation to everyone who reached out to her while she is in Dubai amid a difficult time.
