Kris Aquino chose what to mention from the statement of President Rodrigo Duterte
Social media influencer Kris Aquino mentioned in her recent Instagram post the statement of President Rodrigo Duterte against former President Ferdinand Marcos but spared the one mentioning against her mother former President Cory Aquino.
Filipinos know that the Aquinos and the Marcoses are archrivals when it comes to politics. Former Senator Ninoy Aquino was a very vocal critic of Ferdinand Marcos. That is why when Ninoy was assassinated, the speculations that Marcos was the man behind it also surfaced.

However, based on the report from Inquirer, until now, the Aug. 21, 1983 Ninoy Aquino assassination is not yet resolved as the mastermind has not been pointed.
On the IG post of Kris, she quoted the statement of President Duterte acknowledging that her father was killed in the hands of Marcos. The social media influencer wrote: “Direct quote ‘Cory Aquino maybe popular, she is popular today. Why? For losing the husband in the hands of Mr. Marcos.’”
She also thanked the President. “Thank you for acknowledging our family’s loss, and who was behind it. Salamat, Mr. President,” Kris said. The former presidential daughter/sister included in her IG post a short video showing the photos of her mother.
On the othet hand, President Duterte also mentioned a statement against Cory. The Chief Executive of the Philippines that the first woman who became the president of the Philippines spared the property of her family, the Hacienda Luisita, from being subjected to the land reform program of the government during her term.
Apparently, Kris Aquino did not tackle this statement from PRRD on her post. However, netizens also noticed this. A netizen commented this on the popular showbiz site, “Narinig din siguro ni Kris nung sinabi ni DU30 na, Cory declared the Land Reform but exempted Hacienda Luisita. Any comment?”
