Sharon Cuneta, Rey Valera Almost Imprisoned Before
REY VALERA – Music legend Rey Valera revealed that he and Megastar Sharon Cuneta were almost imprisoned before.
Undeniably, among the veteran singers that have left marks in the Philippine music industry are Rey Valera and Sharon Cuneta. Both rose to fame and is still active in music until now.
Actress-singer Sharon Cuneta, tagged as the Megastar of the Philippine showbiz industry, had some recent concerts including her 40th anniversary concert. It was a huge success.
With regards to Mr. Valera, he is one of the judges in the singing contest segment of the ABS-CBN noontime variety show It’s Showtime. He also has an upcoming concert.
Based on an article on Pep, Valera has an upcoming concert with fellow singers Dulce and Marco Sison. During the press conference, he made a revelation about him and Sharon.
During the press conference, Rey Valera revealed that he and Sharon Cuneta were almost imprisoned before due to his songs.
According to the singer, it was over his songs that were used in the movies of Sharon under the production of Vic del Rosario, the owner of Viva Entertainment Inc.
Based on the article, Rey Valera claimed that Vic del Rosario used his songs without the permission of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. He was urged to file charges but he refused since he and Sharon Cuneta are friends.
According to Valera, what happened was that he got included in the case. He’s facing charges which puts him at risk over a ten-year imprisonment. The singer-songwriter has included the said revelation in the book he is writing, the Stories of the Road.
