SONA 2019: Generally Fair Weather Expected Over Philippines Today (July 22)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that generally fair weather is expected over the Philippines as President Duterte is set to deliver his speech in SONA 2019.
On Monday (July 22, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country.
PAGASA reported that most parts of the Philippines would have a generally fair weather condition during President Duterte’s fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA).
Mr. Duterte is set to deliver his speech for SONA 2019 around 3:00 pm on Monday afternoon.
However, the southwest monsoon or locally known as ‘Habagat’ might still affect the weather condition over extreme Northern Luzon.
The localized thunderstorms would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country in the afternoon and evening.
The weather agency also warned the public of possible flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the surrounding sea conditions throughout the entire country would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
