Transport Strike on July 15 (Monday)

The Alliance of Concerned Transport Organization (Acto) is set to conduct a transport strike on July 15, 2019 (Monday).

On Friday (July 12, 2019), the Acto president Efren De Luna announced that the group will hold a protest next week.

The group will initially gather in front of the Quezon City Memorial Circle at 8:00 am on Monday for the transport holiday.

De Luna said that they will proceed in front of the office of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to hold the program after the members have been gathered.

Acto is against the specific standards of LTFRB and not on the modernizations of the public utility vehicles.

The transport group is opposing the fleet management program requiring the operators to merge their vehicle into a ‘Legal Entity’.
