Another Low-Pressure Area Spotted Near Cotabato, PAGASA Says
PAGASA found another low-pressure area near Cotabato, while the southwest monsoon was expected to bring rains over parts of the Philippines.
On Wednesday (July 3, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country.
PAGASA reported that a new low-pressure area was spotted at 730 kilometers east of General Santos City, South Cotabato.
The trough or extension of the LPA would bring cloudy weather conditions and thunderstorms over the Eastern Visayas.
The southwest monsoon would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, and Palawan.
The localized thunderstorms would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila, the Visayas, and the rest of the country.
The weather agency also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao would be moderate to rough, according to the weather bureau.
