Monsoon Rains To Affect Parts of PH, PAGASA Says

The state weather bureau PAGASA said that the monsoon rains would affect several parts of the Philippines as Tropical Depression Egay moves away.

On Tuesday (July 2, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates.

PAGASA said that the southwest monsoon or locally known as ‘Habagat’ would bring rains over most parts of Luzon.

The monsoon rains would primarily affect the provinces of Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Mindoro, and Palawan.

Habagat would also bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the rest of Luzon including Metro Manila.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers are also expected over Western Visayas while the rest of the Visayas and Mindanao would have fair weather condition with a small chance of isolated thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Tropical Depression Egay weakened into a low-pressure area as it moves away from the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

The Angat Dam’s water level continued to increase due to the heavy pouring of rains.
