Latest Updates About Tropical Depression Egay PAGASA Says
The state weather bureau PAGASA released the latest updates regarding Tropical Depression Egay, which continue to bring rains over parts of the Philippines.
On Monday (July 1, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported the latest weather condition in the country.
PAGASA reported that Tropical Depression Egay slightly weakened as it continued to move in the northwest direction.
Egay has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 60 kph moving 40 kph at a northwest direction.
The weather agency also announced that Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands remain under signal no. 1.
Light to moderate rains with occasionally heavy monsoon rains is expected over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Antique, Aklan, and western Iloilo.
Scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas.
The weather bureau also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides.
Meanwhile, another low-pressure area was located 575 km west of Northern Luzon but unlikely to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
