Trash From Canada Sent Back By Philippines To Vancouver

TRASH FROM CANADA – The garbage from Canada which reached the Philippines years ago was sent back to Vancouver and it is set to arrive soon.

One of the issues that have gathered different reactions, mostly expressions of disappointment, is the load of garbage that reached the Philippines from abroad. It was from Canada.

Undeniably, many people are disappointed and angered by such move which shows a negative view on the status of the Philippines. It was between 2013 and 2014 when the trash reached the country.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, as to the side of Canada, the foreign country claimed that it was a private commercial deal. It was made without the consent of the government.

Recently, an update regarding the issue crossed the surface.

Based on the report, the trash from Canada was sent back from the Philippines to Vancouver. It was in May 31 when the cargo vessel carrying it left the port of Subic in Zambales.

There were a total of sixty-nine(69) containers of trash sent back to Vancouver according to the report.

Previously, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte warned war against Canada if it won’t take back its trash. The foreign country did not reach the May 15 deadline set by the Philippine government.

Reportedly, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) have already recalled the Philippine Ambassadors in Canada and as well as the Consuls.

The trash load sent to Vancouver is set to arrive this weekend.
