FDA Releases List of Unregistered Food Supplements

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) urged the public not to buy and consume the following unregistered food supplements.

FDA issued the Advisory No. 2019-155 showing the list of unregistered food supplements and revealed that their  Certificate of Product Registration (CPR) have not yet been released.

The agency emphasized the Republic Act No. 9711 (Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009) that prohibits the manufacture, sale, and distributions of unauthorized health products.

Here is the list of unregistered food supplements:

  • Vitacio Maca Root Extract Complex (500 mg)
  • Doctor’s Best, Best Probiotic 20 Billion CFU
  • Probiotic Pearls Women’s Digestive & Yeast Balance
  • Puritan’s Pride Chewable Chlorophyll with Natural Spearmint Flavor
  • Scivation Xtend BCAAs, Mango Flavor

The public is also advised to always check the food product if it is registered and authentic.

The group also reminded businesses and establishment not to sell those health products without proper authorization.

“All concerned establishments are warned not to distribute violative food supplements until they have been issued the appropriate authorization, a License to Operate for the establishment and a CPR for the food supplement,” FDA said.
