Final 12 of Idol Philippines will be announced on Sunday
The Final 12 of the Kapamilya talent search Idol Philippines will be announced on Sunday, June 23.
Idol PH is the ABS-CBN’s franchise of the international singing competition. It aims to find the most deserving star material for this generation.
For several months, the show has been conducting auditions which faced quite a lot of controversy.
It can be recalled that on the time when the judges were announced, netizens and fans who are anticipating for the show got dismayed.
ABS-CBN featured Regine Velasquez, Vice Ganda, Moira dela Torre, and James Reid as the judges of the show while Billy Crawford is the host.
As the audition was ongoing, netizens criticized the judges for their alleged “wrong” judgment to the performance of the contestants.
There are even those who said that the judges should be replaced, even showbiz personalities expressed their opinion about this such as Direk Joey Reyes and singer Bituin Escalante.
However, the show and the judges apparently were not affected by this. The ratings of the show can also prove that more people are watching it.
One more thing that proves this is that the show is set to announce the Final 12 on Sunday, based on the report from Bandera.

These 20 finalists are set to have a showdown on Sunday, June 23, wherein the judges will choose the Final 12.
The Idol Philippines Grand Finals will be held on June 30, based on the report.
