Bituin Escalante subtly slammed “Idol Philippines” judges?
BITUIN ESCALANTE – Singer and stage actress Bituin Escalente serving tea and throwing shade against Kapamilya singing competition “Idol Philippines”.
“If I joined Philippine Idol (sic), hindi ako papasa sa judges…kay Reg lang. At ok ako do’n” says powerful singer and diva Butuin Escalante in an intriguing post on her Twitter account to which has caught social media attention.
As much as anyone can remember, among the most iconic auditions that got the three judges of Idol PH badly criticized was when they did not gave Reggae singer Luke Baylon a chance despite the obvious fact of a raw talent in him.
The judges such as James Reid, Moira Dela Torre, and Vice Ganda were not able to give him a nod, thus, viewers bashed them over it. Accordingly, they were just after the face quality and not the talent itself.

Here are some of the reactions of the netizens about this based on an entertainment website:
Takeaway is piliin ang contest na para sa’yo. If you are a singer/artist go to TnT or The Voice but if you are after celebrity/superstardom status and can decently sing go for Idol. Know what they’re looking for.
I do understand that in every industry, like showbiz, getting to the top is brutal. But due questionable credibility of the judges, people are unhappy with the way or flow of the show.
The Voice is way way BETTER than Idol Philippines. Sana yong judges mga ganoong kalidad nina lea bamboo sarah at apl.
Bituin is very known for her powerful vocals and song “Kung Ako Na Lang Sana”. But prior to that, she has also appeared in the 2000 Metropop Song Festival with her interpretation of “Paano Na” written by Arnold Reyes.
Aside from that, she is also stage actress appearing in Dreamgirls, One On This Island, Death And The Maiden, Alice In Wonderland, and Waitress.
What can you say about this?
