PAGASA Says ITCZ To Bring Rains Over Parts of Philippines

Latest Weather Updates in PH Released by PAGASA

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone would bring rains over some parts of the Philippines.

On Monday (June 10, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country.

PAGASA said that the ITCZ would affect the weather condition over Southern Luzon and Visayas.

The ITCZ would bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Palawan, and Occidental Mindoro.

Southern Luzon, Mimaropa and the Bicol region are also expected to experience scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The localized thunderstorms would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions with isolated rainshowers over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Apayao, Abra, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan as well as Metro Manila.

The weather agency also warned the public of possible flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the Northern Luzon and Aurora Province would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
