Rolando Bautista Saved Erwin Tulfo’s Life Decades Ago?

The photo of Rolando Bautista after saving the life of reporter Erwin Tulfo near Jolo, Sulu decades ago circulates online.

Over the past few weeks, veteran news broadcaster Erwin Tulfo has been one of the most discussed personalities online after berating Social Welfare Secretary Rolando Bautista.

Tulfo released distasteful remarks against Bautista after refusing to grant an interview on his radio program.

Recently, a Facebook user named Nick Sotelo has shared the photo of young Musang officer Rolando “Bote” Bautista after saving Erwin Tulfo who was still a newbie reporter during that time.

The Philippine Army Scout Rangers led by Bautista rescued Tulfo after his speed boat sunk along Jolo, Sulu.

Here is the full post:

“GUESS WHO??? IT’S MR. YOU!!!
This photo was taken decades ago when Mr. Erwin Tulfo was rescued to safety by Philippine Army Scout Rangers while he was still a newbie broadcaster and his speedboat sunk somewhere near Jolo, Sulu.

These were Army rangers whom the good DSWD secretary belongs to, who saved the man in distress. The secretary, then at J-3 or Tradoc, was the target of that foulmouthed ingrate, cursing & lambasting him on his radio program last week.

Amnesia is indeed such a despicable disease!! Even worse, when coupled with an obnoxious bloodline.

Please share so perhaps we can all jog this ill-mannered bastard’s memory into remembering who he owes his life to. The FSRR, sino pa? RLTW!!!

The pic was posted by Andres Calabes on his FB page!!”
