Easterlies & ITCZ To Affect Parts of Philippines, PAGASA Says

The state weather bureau PAGASA said that the easterlies and the Intertropical Convergence Zone would affect parts of the Philippines.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the Philippines for Friday (June 7, 2019).

PAGASA said that the easterlies would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Visayas, the rest of MIMAROPA, and Mindanao.

The ITCZ would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Bangsamoro, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers are also expected over the rest of Luzon.

The weather agency also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and the remaining parts of the country would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
