5 Companies Faced w/ Tax Evasion Charges Filed by the BIR

BIR – The Bureau of Internal Revenue filed tax evasion charges against five(5) companies.

Businesses and companies must pay taxes to the government just like the working individuals. There are sanctions for those who refuse to comply with the responsibility to pay for the taxes.

It is the Bureau of Internal Revenue that is in-charged to the collection of taxes from the working citizens and the business in the Philippines.

Also, the government agency may file charges against people or companies who got unpaid taxes.

Recently, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) filed tax evasion charges against five(5) companies over the alleged unpaid taxes.

The complaints were filed by the government agency before the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Allegedly, the companies have unpaid taxes to the government amounting to more than a total of Php 71 million. According to the report, the unpaid taxes are allegedly between year 2009 and year 2014.

The following are the companies faced with tax evasion charges and their alleged tax liabilities:

1. Lucky Builders Center Corporation
Alleged Tax Liability: Php 29.07 million (2013)

2. Global Trendtech Trading Corp.
Alleged Tax Liability: Php 20.07 million (2013)

3. RAR Builders, Inc.
Alleged Tax Liability: Php 10.07 million (2014)

4. Concreteworks, Inc.
Alleged Tax Liability: Php 6.58 million (2012)

5. Amaautotechnic
Alleged Tax Liability: Php 5.33 million (2009)
