Police Authorities Nab Pastor During Cubao Drug Buy-Bust Operation
PASTOR – The police authorities arrested a pastor during a drug buy-bust operation conducted in Cubao, Quezon City.
Currently, war against drugs in the Philippines continues. It is one of the staunch campaign promises of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Since he assumed office, several people and groups were nabbed over it.
Recently, a report related to it crossed the surface.
Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, a pastor was arrested during the drug buy-bust operation conducted by the police authorities in Cubao, Quezon City.
The 49-year-old man was from Cainta, Rizal. He had with him his motorcycle in Oxford Street in Barangay E. Rodriguez when the operation was conducted.
According to Cubao Police Station Chief Ramon Aquiatan, they really have initial doubts on the suspect until their fake buyer has confirmed it.
Aquiatan also expressed that whenever they arrest suspects along Aurora, the suspects would mention that the pastor is one of those supplying them.
Based on the report, the suspect admitted to using drugs and claimed that he was only influenced by his friends. According to him, no one knows about his vice even his family and wife.
“Nagkataon lang kanina, kinapos po ako sa pera,” he said.
Reportedly, the police authorities discovered that he is teaching values formation to students and police officers. He is now faced with charges over drugs.
“Gabayan na lang po ako ng Panginoon. Tanggapin ko na lang itong nangyari sa akin. Patawarin na lang po ako even ng pulis, saka ng pamilya ko na nasaktan ko sila,” he said.
