EARTHQUAKES – Here is a list of the quakes that jolted the different areas in the Philippines today, May 23.

One of the countries around the world that is usually hit by earthquakes is the Philippines. Its geographical location contributes a lot as to why it is usually rocked by quake.

PH lies along the Pacific Ring of Fire. Compared to other countries, nations that are near it can often feel the shaking brought by the movements of the plates.

For the awareness of the public and as well as the monitoring of the natural occurrences, a government body records details about the earthquakes.

In the Philippines, it is the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) that issues bulletins containing information regarding quakes in PH.

Also, Phivolcs alerts the residents in case there is a possibility of tsunami happening in a place.
