Senator-elect Bato dela Rosa’s View on Illegal Chinese Workers in PH Gained Criticisms

SENATOR BATO DELA ROSA – Disappointed netizens bashed Senator-elect Ronald Dela Rosa over his view on illegal Chinese workers in the Philippines.

Recently, the result of the Election 2019 senatorial race is out. One of those who made it to the Top 12 is former Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Bato Dela Rosa.

Dela Rosa is one of those newbies in the Senate alongside with former presidential aide Christopher “Bong” Go.

Previously, Dela Rosa was slammed by some people over his admission of his willingness to take training to know the work in the Senate.

While there were those who criticized the former PNP Chief, there were also those who were quick to defend him and even offer assistance to him like Senator-elect Pia Cayetano.

Recently, another statement of Senator Bato dela Rosa hooked the attention of netizens on social media.

Some netizens were left disappointed by Senator Bato Dela Rosa’s view over illegal Chinese workers in the Philippines. According to him, they should first be given the chance to comply with the requirements.

“Illegal is illegal, ‘di ba? Kung illegal, eh dapat gawing legal… Dapat kunin nila lahat ng requirements,” he said based on a report in Rappler.

According to the former PNP Chief, in case the Chinese workers failed to comply with the minimum requirements, that’s when they have to be deported.

On the other side, Dela Rosa expressed that if the Chinese workers are able to meet the requirements, the decision is on the Bureau of Immigration.
