Here’s the reason of Sen, Kiko Pangilinan why he resigned as LP President
Opposition Senator Kiko Pangilinan revealed the reason why he has resigned as the President of the Liberal Party.
In a previous report, it was stated that the resignation of the politician will take effect on June 30, 2019.
He already handed his letter of resignation to Party chairperson Vice President Leni Robredo.
Pangilinan, though his wife Megastar Sharon Cuneta is a supporter of the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte, continued to do his duties as the president of the political party.
The Senator was also the campaign manager of opposition senatorial candidates, Mar Roxas, Bam Aquino, Chel Diokno, Pilo Hilbay, Samira Gutoc, Romulo Macalintal, Erin Tanada, and Gary Alejano for the 2019 midterm elections.
They are collectively known as the Otso Diretso candidates. Unfortunately, none of them entered the magic 12 senators, based on the latest partial and unofficial election result.
With this, Senator Kiko Pangilinan takes full responsibility as the Otso Diretso campaign manager.
“As campaign manager for the Otso Diretso slate, I was unable to ensure our victory in the elections and I therefore assume full responsibility for the outcome and hold myself primarily accountable for this defeat,” he said.
With this, several netizens expressed their reactions.
