Due to the delay in processing, the set proclamation date has been moved. The winning senators will be announced probably tonight, while the winning party lists shall be announced tomorrow.

Assistand director of the Commission On Elections, Frances Arabe also made the same claims that they are hoping to get the ballot counting done by today for them to be able to announce the winning senators by night.

There were also reports of delayed transmissions of Certificates of Canvass from Washington, United States and Saudi Arabia.

By 8 pm yesterday (May 20, 2019), four COCs coming from abroad with 633,527 total vote count and a COC from the province of Isabela with 1,050,681 total votes are still pending canvass.

Specifically, the votes were coming from Japan (76,166 votes), Saudi Arabia (326,620 votes), Washington US (228,472 votes and from Abuja, Nigeria (1,999 votes).

The delay of transmission of these ballots were, according to Arabe, caused by malfunctioning SD Cards.

This is based on an article from PhilStar.
