Heavy Rains Expected Over NCR & Parts of Luzon, PAGASA Says

The state weather bureau PAGASA warned the public of possible heavy rains over the National Capital Region (NCR) and other parts of Luzon.

On Monday afternoon (May 20, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates.

PAGASA said heavy rainshowers are expected over Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon amidst the prevailing hot weather.

Metro Manila, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Batangas, and Rizal are expected to experience heavy to intense rainshowers .

Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, and Bataan have been by rain showers, according to the reports.

The weather agency said that the southwesterly surface wind flow would be the dominant weather system in the Philippines.

The agency also explained that rainy season is near due to the arrival of southwesterlies.

All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,PAGASA said.
