A netizen had this comprehensive post to defend Senator-elect Bato dela Rosa
Facebook user Kriselle Jhean Sey shared a comprehensive post to defend Senator-elect Bato dela Rosa.
Dela Rosa was one of the senatorial candidates for the 2019 midterm elections who entered the magic 12.
A previous report stated that he was asked what he will do first as he is now an elected Senator of the Philippines.
He said that he is willing to undergo seminars to learn how to make laws and will seek the expertise of his fellow senatorial candidates.
With this, several netizens, especially belonging to the opposition, criticized him.
Some people even scrutinized his statement as he said, “Pag UP, hindi na ‘ko pupunta. Alanganin ako diyan,”. Bato dela Rosa does not want to take seminars at the University of the Philippines.
On the other hand, supporters of the Senator-elect defended him. They enumerated the qualifications that dela Rosa showing that he is worthy of his position in the government.
Some commended his honesty and willingness to learn.
One of his defenders is netizen Krisselle Jhean Sey who posted an elaborated essay why more people voted for the former PNP chief.
She slammed the critics of the dela Rosa.
“Going back to Bato and my first statement. I have some friends here na hindi man nga makapasa-pasa ng Civil Service exam or nakaranas manungkulan sa gobyerno ang kuda ng kuda. Mag-migrate daw sa ibang bansa eh hindi man nga maka-alis sa poder ng magulang,” a portion of her post stated.
She also told the critics to do research because the Senator-elect “holds a doctorate degree in Development Administration from the University of Southeastern Philippines, Davao City. He also passed the Officers Senior Executive Course (OSEC) and Career Service Executive Eligibility (CSEE) and attended training courses at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Ranger Course in the US, and other courses in Australia and Canada. He has a lot of awards worth mentioning but the space is not enough.”
The netizen had this conclusion why Bato dela Rosa won against the topnotcher from the opposition: “You know why despite having stellar academic record and achievements eh natalo pa rin ang topnotcher sa Otso Diretso? Simple. Intelligence is wasted if not used for a good cause. Even idiots would know that.”
What can you say about this?
