JK Labajo On Rejection Of Luke Baylon In Idol: “HUGE shame on the other ‘judges'”

JK Labajo lambasted “other judges” of Idol Philippines.

JK LABAJO – The reaction of JK Labajo after Reggae singer Luke Baylon got rejected in Idol surfaced online and caught social media attention.

In a previous article, Idol hopeful Luke Baylon got rejected after the three judges such as James ReidMoira Dela Torre, and Vice Ganda said no to him not giving him a chance to improve his unique craft in the show. Only the Songbird Regine Velasquez appreciated him and wanted him to be a part of the competition. But to no avail for it is a top rule that a hopeful must obtain three nods to proceed to the next stage after the auditions.

With this, the netizens tirelessly called out the three judges and in firm demand to fire them for not having the ears to hear real talent and raw potential. And among the viewers who strongly expressed disagreement to the decision of the three judges is the singer JK Labajo.

“I just found out that the guy who got rejected at idol ph is the same guy who did an amazing reggae version of my song buwan. HUGE shame on the other “judges” for not seeing this guy’s potential. what a shame. such a shame. I’m ashamed,” he said.

On Twitter, Labajo expressed:

Here’s what some of the netizens has said to this according to an entertainments website:

I have to agree with JK, we were also wondering why they didn’t say Yes. Pero pag pretty face at not really good naman in singing, yes sila agad. Tsk

I understand JK’s point here as to “soul.” The man has good potential. He owned the song as his own. As if naman Moira and James didn’t get flats and sharps when they perform live.

I got curious and checked Luke Baylon out on Youtube. Magaling. Ibang style! He should have been given the chance. I have an ear for promising talents—tooo bad , I am not one of the judges. Pasok sa banga yan! I agree with JK Labajo this time!
