Message of Pres. Duterte for Labor Day 2019
DUTERTE – The official message of Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for Labor Day 2019 was released, May 1.
Today, most of the nations celebrate the Labor Day including the Philippines. In the country, it is one of the regular holidays in commemoration of the hard work of the Filipino people.
In line with the celebration of the Labor Day 2019, several banks have previously notified that all their branches will be closed today. The list includes the banking giants Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and the BDO Unibank.
For the Labor Day 2019 today, May 1, the Office of Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has released the President’s message.
Based on a social media post of GMA News, in his message, the President stressed the contributions and hard work of the labor force to the country and the citizenry.
He recognized the situation of those people who struggle hard to the point of working away from their families to uplift their status in life but no change happened.
“This is why my administration has implemented measures within its power to afford full protection to labor and promote equal work opportunities for all.”
Based on the post, in his message, Pres. Duterte expressed his hope that the Labor Day 2019 celebration will encourage the public to work together for the improvement of the workers’ plight through environments that are conducive for growth.
