SOFRONIO VASQUEZ – Singer Sofronio Vasquez is set to captivate audiences with his highly anticipated solo concert in Cebu this month.
The singer from Misamis Occidental is preparing for his highly anticipated debut concert on January 18, 2025. Fresh from his historic victory as the first-ever Filipino and Asian Champion of “The Voice,” Sofronio Vasquez is making a triumphant return to his roots.
The Misamis Occidental native will hold his debut solo concert at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, marking a significant milestone in his rising music career.
Sofronio Vasquez announced the event on his Facebook page, sharing his excitement with fans. In a spirited post, he wrote, “PIT SENYOR! Kitakits mga silingan sa Sugbo!” [See you, neighbors in Cebu!] The show begins at 8 p.m., with tickets priced between ₱1,300 and ₱5,000. Fans who purchase premium tickets will also have the opportunity to meet and greet the rising star.
The announcement, accompanied by a concert poster from the event’s producer Paduk Entertainment LLC, encouraged fans to secure tickets, which are now available through SM TicketNet and at the hotel lobby.
Adding to the event’s allure is its timing, which nearly coincides with the annual Sinulog Festival. Sinulog, celebrated every third Sunday of January, honors the Santo Niño with grand street parades, cultural performances, and religious processions. This year, the festival is set for January 19, creating a perfect weekend of music, culture, and celebration for Cebuanos and tourists alike.
Sofronio Vasquez’s groundbreaking victory earlier this month has not only brought pride to the Philippines but also elevated the Asian music community on the global stage. His win on “The Voice” solidified his status as a rising star and opened doors for international recognition.
