Jinggoy Estrada Okay With Chinese Workers In Country Along as they are Legal, Documented
JINGGOY ESTRADA – Senatorial candidate Jinggoy Estrada said he’s okay with the Chinese working in the Philippines.
The Labor Department confirmed that there Chinese tourist that ends up working in some construction sites in the Philippines.
Malacañang palace spokesperson Salvador Panelo previously explained the reason why Chinese migrant flock to the country.
“We lack so many construction workers. Siguro that’s why maraming Chinese na kinukuha dahil walang mga Pilipino. Maraming Pilipinong walang trabaho, and yet, they lack the skill so we need to teach them,” he said.
Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan said that those DOLE and Bureau of Immigration officers who allowed their entry of the 400 thousand illegal Chinese workers will be fired.
“Fire DOLE and BI appointees and officials who allowed the entry of 400,000 Chinese illegals. File criminal cases against them,” said the senator.
Based on a report from Inquirer, Senatorial candidate Jingoy Estrada said he’s okay with the Chinese workers in the country as long as they are “legal and properly documented.”
The politician initially said, “ako naniniwala ako sa Filipino first policy” after he was asked regarding the rising count of Chinese workers in the Philippines.
According to the report, Jinggoy Estrada stated that he would not let the foreigners dominate the Philippines’ workforce. As long their papers were legal, he will allow it.
“As long as they are legal here in the Philippines, properly documented, walang problema.”
“But as long as they are found to be illegal, who are working without any documents, they have to be deported,” Estrada added.
Based on the report, Jinggoy Estrada also talked about the punishments for the illegal Chinese workers and the people who will be tolerating it.
“Kung napatunayang fake yung kanilang mga dokumento, dapat damay-damay na…”
“Kung sino yang nag-facilitate ng kanilang papeles, kailangan pati rin ‘yun ikulong,” he added.
