Increasing Numbers of Chinese Employees in PH Addressed by Malacañang Palace
Malacañang Palace has finally explained the reason behind the increasing numbers of Chinese employees in the Philippines.
The Palace addresses the issue of increasing numbers of Chinese migrant workers in the country.
Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said that many Filipino people are lacking of skills In terms of construction works.
The Palace cited the lack of skills of the Pinoy workers as the major factor on the issue of hiring Chinese workers.
However, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) was providing various programs and courses that could enhance the working skills of Filipino workers.
“We lack so many construction workers. Siguro that’s why maraming Chinese na kinukuha dahil walang mga Pilipino. Maraming Pilipinong walang trabaho, and yet, they lack the skill so we need to teach them. And most likely, ‘yan ang magandang project ng Tesda,” Panelo said.
Panelo also said that many Filipino employees are working abroad for bigger opportunities and greener pastures.
Previously, Former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III questioned the Duterte administration regarding the increasing numbers of Chinese workers who taking jobs supposed to be for Filipinos.
The presidential spokesman explained that Chinese employees went through the legal process.
