Local Absentee Voting for Election 2019 To Start This Monday, April 29
ELECTION 2019 – The Local Absentee Voting for the upcoming midterm election will begin this Monday, April 29.
Currently, the election candidates are taking a double time on their campaign as the midterm political bid is almost here. On May 13, the Filipino populace will exercise their right to suffrage again.
Both national and local elections will be held. In the former, there will be a poll for the senatorial and congressional seats and party-lists while in the latter, elections for governor, vice governor, mayor, vice mayor, and councilors would be held.
With regards to the Filipinos who cannot go home for the election, they can still vote through the Overseas Absentee Voting. They would have to cast their votes at the nearest consular office or embassy.
On the day of the election, there will be people who will have to be on duty just like the policemen and the media. The former will be in-charged of the security in the different voting centers while the latter is on duty to update the public about the happenings around.
In their case and as well as those who will be on duty on May 13 for the Election 2019, the Commission on Election (COMELEC) is administering the Local Absentee Voting.
Based on a recent report on GMA News, the Local Absentee Voting for Election 2019 will begin on Monday, April 29, 2019. It will last until May 1, 2019.
According to COMELEC Spokesman James Jimenez, the ballots are already being prepared for transport to where the election would be held including military camps and government offices.
Based on the report, the positions that will be voted upon during the Local Absentee Voting are senators and party-lists.
