And just recently, a 48-year-old Filipina tourist, identified by the California authorities as Marianne Natividad, was struck by an SUV in the streets of California in USA.

According to the report from GMA News,

Marianne was visiting her friends in California from Dubai when she was struck by an SUV.

Although the vehicle stopped after the hit, the driver went ahead and left the victim lying on the street. Another vehicle then came and struck her again.

The SUV driver who was revealed to be another Filipina was the 65-year-old Delilah Paray. She is now detained and under the custody of California Police.

There no criminal charges filed against the driver of the second vehicle that hit Marianne Natividad.

Currently, a fundraising campaign was initiated to raise enough funds and finance the transport of Marianne Natividad’s remains back to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Although accidents can never be avoided, it’s always best to look out and take care of ourselves and others when we’re out. Potential hazards should be foreseen to ready ourselves.

Also when driving, it is always best to ensure road clearance before accelerating and to check on the vehicle’s brakes, tires and gas to avoid road accidents.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
