CAR ACCIDENT – A statement from the Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that two Filipino nurses died in Australia due to a car accident.

An accident may happen anytime and anywhere and the heartbreaking part of it is when it takes lives. Recently, in Australia, two Pinay nurses were left lifeless by an accident that happened on the road.

Based on a recent report in ABS-CBN News, the DFA confirmed through a statement that 2 Pinay nurses died in Australia on Friday. Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano has expressed extending prayers to the family of those who died.

“Our thoughts and prayers go to the loved ones of two of our own who lost their lives,” the DFA Secretary expressed in a statement.

Based on the report, citing the Philippine Ambassador’s report to Australia Minda Cruz, 5 other people were left injured by the car accident in Australia. One of them is the husband of one of those who died and three children and a relative.

Reportedly, the Pinay nurses and their family were on board on a Dodge Journey and they are heading to Melbourne. They were supposed to join a religious event when their car collided with a Toyota Land Cruiser head-on.

The identity of the nurses was not identified based on the report. The driver of the Toyota Land Cruiser is a 65-year-old man. DFA Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano assured that the department is ready to extend aid to the family of the two nurses who died abroad.
