Sanya Lopez impossible to bag the Darna role?
DARNA ROLE – The Kapuso actress Sanya Lopez is not possible to play the “Darna” role due to this reason and here are the reactions of the netizens to this.
Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano is supposed to be the one who will play the iconic role “Darna” after Angel Locsin backed out due to her back injury. Meanwhile, in the same case, Soberano withdrew from the project after having finger injury which she fears would affect her movements and would put limitations in doing action scenes.
In a previous report, Locsin expressed that she won’t accept the role anymore. She shared, “Nag-try ako mag-message sa kanya. Sagot niya, ‘Ate, I’m sorry’ Naawa ako sa kanya. Naramdaman ko kung gaano siya ka-devastated sa nangyari.”
And now, with the rumors circulating online that the Kapuso actress Sanya Lopez is fit for the role given her very Pinay complexion and beauty, toned body, and undeniable talent, Kapuso actor Jerald Napoles reacted to it and even agreed. He even suggested that Jennylyn Mercado is also perfect for the role only that there exists network wars.
However, one netizen contradicted his thoughts saying that it would be impossible to happen now that the rights of “Darna” are currently with ABS-CBN and Star Cinema, which is mainly the reason why it won’t happen.
And here is Napoles response to this, “I am stating my opinion regarding the casting. I am very much aware of the situation. I work in the industry, I know better. This is my twitter.. The only place [I’m] allowed to say my two cents. Why are you even condescending??”
