Court Finds Former Laguna Gov. ER Ejercito Guilty Of Graft Over Insurance Deal
ER EJERCITO – Former Laguna Governor Emilio Ramon Ejercito was found guilty of graft by Sandiganbayan over an insurance deal.
Currently, a lot of famous personalities in the Philippines are facing allegations and charges. One of them is former Laguna Governor Emilio Ramon Ejercito or more commonly called E.R.
Ejercito is a nephew of former President Joseph Ejercito “Erap” Estrada. He is also one of those showbiz celebrations who, later on, joined the political arena. The Filipino actor-politician has served as a mayor and a governor of Pagsanjan, Laguna.
With regards to his political journey, Ejercito faced charges. Cases over the alleged anomalous insurance deal involving the municipal government of Pagsanjan in 2008 were filed against him.
Recently, an update crossed the surface.
Based on a report on Inquirer, citing DZMM, the Sandiganbayan found ER Ejercito guilty of graft over the controversial insurance deal.
The said deal reportedly involved the Pagsanjan municipal government and the First Rapids Care Ventures (FRCV).
According to the report, the Filipino actor-politician is sentenced to six(6) to eight(8) years in jail regarding the case.
