Kindergarten Students Poisoned by Chinese Teacher
A Chinese teacher got arrested after poisoning its kindergarten students at the school in Jiaozuo city in Henan province.
The local officials of China reported that about twenty-three kindergarten students in central China were rushed to hospital after allegedly poisoned by their teacher.
The kindergarten pupils aging three to six years old start vomiting and fainting due to poisoning after their morning porridge.
A teacher identified only by the surname Wang was accused as the responsible over the poisoning incident on March 27, 2019 (Wednesday).
Xinhua news agency reported that sodium nitrite, which is used for curing meats but could be toxic when consumed in high amounts caused the poisoning, according to the preliminary investigation.
The Jiaozuo incident came before the new regulation requiring school officials to dine in with kindergarten to high schools students in China to prevent food scandals.
Currently, schools in China need to identify food suppliers and set risk preventions and control systems.
One pupil has been admitted in the hospital after suffering severe symptoms while seven others were under observation.
