Sandiganbayan Junks Napoles’ Motion For Reconsideration Over Plunder Charges
NAPOLES – The Sandiganbayan junked the motion for reconsideration filed by Janet Lim Napoles over the plunder charges against her.
The issues regarding the controversial and alleged misuse of the Priority Development Assistance Fund Scam (PDAF) continues. One of the people allegedly involved in the controversy is businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles.
Previously, the businesswoman was found guilty over the PDAF scam or also known as the Pork Barrel Scam. She’s face with plunder charges along with former Senator Jinggoy Estrada.
The Senator was detained for three(3) years over his alleged involvement in the controversial scam which is among the biggest corruption issues in the history of the Philippines.
Last month, March 2019, Napoles and Estrada gained the approval of Sandiganbayan to file for the dismissal of the plunder case against them.
Recently, an update regarding the decision of the Court crossed the surface.
Based on the official website of Manila Bulletin, Sandiganbayan junked the motion for reconsideration filed by Janet Lim Napoles over the plunder charges against her.
According to the post, the businesswoman stressed that she is a private individual and she could have not been the “main plunderer”. She claimed that Benhur Luy and Richard Cambe were the ones who planned out the corruption moves.
