Former Eat Bulaga host Keempee de Leon reacted to the comment saying “Tsugi ka sa EB, ang may scandal nakabalik”.
Following his appearance in the Kapamilya noontime show, It’s Showtime, the actor-host has revealed things surrounding his exclusion in the longest-running noontime show.
He previously revealed that he has “tampo” to the show in which he spent 14 years of his career in hosting.
The son of Henyo Master Joey de Leon also revealed that it was his own personal decision to guest in EB’s rival show. This is in line with the promotion of his upcoming series Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit.
Apparently, the actor-host also waited the time when he would be in Eat Bulaga once again. However, it did not turn out the way he was expecting it to happen.
“Tinanong ko siya, ‘Tita Malou, ano ba, makakabalik pa ba ako ng Bulaga o hindi na?’ Sabi niya, as per management, hindi na,” he shared. Keempee was referring to Malou Choa Fagar, his handler and one of the executives of TAPE, Inc., the entity behind Eat Bulaga.
Based on the report from Bandera, he asked the management of the noontime show why he could no longer come back, based on the article.
“So, ‘yun ‘yung hinihintay ko, bakit? Eh, wala naman silang na-explain. I mean, hindi ko rin maisip kung may nagawa ba akong mali kasi wala naman akong nakaaway,” he revealed.
When the comment “Tsugi ka sa EB, ang may scandal nakabalik” came, Keempee de Leon answered, “Hindi naman. Ang sabi ko nga, kung ano ang kasalanan ko, kung ano ang nagawa ko dapat ay sinabi sa akin para at least nag-sorry man lang ako at naitama ko.”
