TAWAG NG TANGHALAN – The Tawag ng Tanghalan March 11 winner is JM Santos from Metro Manila, his first win as a defending champion.
The March 11 daily contenders are:
- JM Santos (Metro Manila)
- Princess Esplana (Luzon)
- Lourdes Pelayo (Mindanao)
Among the three daily contenders, only one bested out the other amateur singers and that is JM Santos from Metro Manila with an average score of 92%. The daily winner will proceed to the final round of the competition against the defending champion Welman Aton from Visayas with a score of 95%.
In the Tapatan, the final round of the singing competition, the daily winner and the defending champion both performed their best to have the prestigious title and the “golden mikropono” but only one survived and that is still JM Santos of Metro Manila on his second win as a defending champion, March 11.
Here are the criteria for judging:
- VOICE QUALITY – 50%
- OVERALL PERFORMANCE – 50%
The judges for March 8 are Zsazsa Padilla, Ogie Alcasid, Randy Santiago, Kyla, and Punong Hurado Rey Valera.
Tawag Ng Tanghalan is aired in the noontime show Its Showtime which is now on its third year and a singing competition for the amateur singers. The known champions from TNT were Noven Belleza, Jhon Clyd Talili, and Janine Berdin for the first year, kids edition, and second year respectively.
