TAWAG NG TANGHALAN – The Tawag ng Tanghalan March 9 winner is Welman Aton from Visayas, his first win as a defending champion.
The March 9 daily contenders are:
- Anne Tenorio (Metro Manila)
- Markdel Ventura (Luzon)
- Jose Aton (Visayas)
Out of the three daily contenders, only one was chosen as today’s daily winner and that is Jose Aton from Visayas with a score of 93.8%. The March 9 daily winner will be facing the defending champion Queenie Joy Ocampos from Mindanao on her second day to defend the title and the “golden mikropono”.
In the final round of the singing competition, the defending champion and the daily winner performed their best but only one has survived and that is Welman Aton of Visayas who earned a score of 90.6%.
Here are the criteria for judging:
- VOICE QUALITY – 50%
- OVERALL PERFORMANCE – 50%
The judges for March 8 are Erik Santos, Nyoy Volante, K Brosas, Karylle, and Punong Hurado Rey Valera.
Tawag Ng Tanghalan is aired in the noontime show Its Showtime which is now on its third year and a singing competition for the amateur singers. The known champions from TNT were Noven Belleza, Jhon Clyd Talili, and Janine Berdin for the first year, kids edition, and second year respectively.
