The cause of death of comedian Chokoleit finally revealed as he passed away after performing for an out of town show in Abra.
Many personalities from the world of show business in the Philippines were saddened in reports came out about the comedian’s death.
After the confirmation from Star Magic, several celebrities wrote heart-felt messages for the late comedian.
His last moments during his performance in Abra was captured on video. It can be noticed that Chokoleit appeared to be running out of breath while he was doing his comedic stint.
In an earlier statement from the Kapamilya network’s talent arm, no further details yet were revealed surrounding the death of the comedian.
“Details are still being gathered. Chokoleit was performing in an out of town show in Abra, and experienced difficulty in breathing after his performance. “
However, a recent report from The Filipino Times revealed the late comedian’s cause of death.
Based on the report, Chokoleit died due to pulmonary edema and heart attack.
The comedian’s attending physician Dr. Rosauro Seares, confirmed this.

Pulmonary edema is a condition in which the lungs fill with fluid. It’s also known as lung congestion, lung water, and pulmonary congestion. When pulmonary edema occurs, the body struggles to get enough oxygen and you start to have shortness of breath.
The report also stated that Chokoleit was rushed to the Abra Provincial Hospital but was pronounced dead moments after.
Abra’s governor expressed gratitude for the comedian’s “utmost level of professionalism”, based on the report.
