President Duterte Terminates PCSO General Manager Alexander Balutan For Corruption
PRESIDENT DUTERTE – Palace spokesperson said President Duterte fired the PCSO chief Alexander Palutan for corruption.
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has been vocal about how much he hate illegal drug users and corrupt government officials. In fact, he has fired several of them for taking advantage of the funds of the government.
Following a previous article, the president has fired an unnamed undersecretary over alleged corruption.
President Duterte also expressed why he thinks corruption exist. “There is corruption in government because people are not doing about it,” he said.
The president certainly is very observant of the government officials who take advantage of the money of the Filipinos.
Based on a report from Philstar, Malacañang spokesperson Salvador Panelo announced that President Duterte just fired the general manager of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Alexander Balutan.
“The Palace confirms that President Duterte has terminated the services of PCSO general manager Alexander Balutan on his present post due to serious allegations of corruption,” said Panelo.
According to the report, Salvador Panelo, however, didn’t disclose the offense that Alexander Balutan committed.
Meanwhile, an official close to Duterte revealed Balutan gave an unacceptable amount in the targeted income of PCSO.
The president has been monitoring the income of the lottery including the Small Town Lottery (STL) and noticed that the income didn’t reach the target.
Based on the report, Alexander Balutan’s spokesperson stated through a
“General manager Alexander Ferrer Balutan has opted to resign from his post for personal reasons”
Before he got fired, he claimed that they didn’t reach the quota due to the smaller jackpot prices and higher ticket prices.
