‘Raise Your Flag’ song from the pageant answer of Catriona Gray is now dedicated to her journey to the crown

“Raise Your Flag” was just a pageant answer before from Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray but now it comes to life as a song.

During the pageant’s Top 15 question and answer, the Filipina beauty queen was asked if what she would call a song dedicated to her journey to the crown.

Catriona said that as she is representing not just herself but the 104 million Filipinos in the most prestigious pageant, she answered “Raise Your Flag”.

From then on, that phrase from the crowned Miss Universe gained popularity.

During the “Raise Your Flag for Catriona Gray” event at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on February 24, the song made its debut.

Composers Jonathan Manalo and Trisha Denise were the tandem behind this inspirational song.

Manalo is known for his compositions such as “Pinoy Big Brother” anthem, “Pinoy Ako,” performed by Orange and Lemons, and Angeline Quinto’s victory theme, “Patuloy ang Pangarap,” for the “Star Power”, based on Inquirer’s report.

Meanwhile, Trisha Denise is the one who wrote the hit songs “Mahalaga” and “Sunshine.”

Raise Your Flag was performed by KZ Tandingan and featured Kritiko for the rap verse of the song.

During the said event for the triumph of Catriona Gray and the Filipinos who rallied behind her, fans were also ecstatic about the performances from various artists.

One of the highlights of the event was the parade of beauties led by Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.

Based on the report, ABS-CBN and the Binibining Pilipinas Charities have also staged this kind of event for Pia when she won three years ago.
