DOT Secretary Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is Perfect Tourism Ambassador
MISS UNIVERSE 2018 – DOT secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is a perfect tourism ambassador.
Bicolana beauty queen Catriona Gray competed last December in Bangkok, Thailand. She brought home the crown and became the fourth Miss Universe in the Philippines.
The 25-year-old beauty queen is now residing in New York City to accomplish her duties as the Miss Universe 2018.
Catriona Gray is currently in the country for her official homecoming celebration. She had her parade and concert that was attended by lots of her Filipino fans.
Before she was crowned as the Miss Universe 2018, the Bicolana beauty has been promoting the rich culture of the Philippines.
In fact, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray showed the beauty of Dumaguete City in her vlog. She featured the delicious food and tourist spots of the province.
Meanwhile, Catriona paid a courtesy call to Bernadette Romulo-Puyat who is the secretary of the Department of Tourism last Tuesday.
Based on a report from Philstar, Bernadette Romulo-Puyat stated that Miss Universe 2018 could make a perfect ambassador to their department. “She is our perfect Tourism ambassador!” she said.
The Tourism secretary disclosed that President Rodrigo Duterte was planning to appoint Catriona Gray as their tourism ambassador.
According to the report, Bernadette Romulo-Puyat was all praises as she mentioned all the efforts of the Pinay beauty queen in promoting the country.
“For that matter, we can make it more fun forever…Cat has already been promoting the Philippines even before she won and thank you for that for promoting Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. You have made our country proud,” she said.
The DOT secretary expressed her gratitude to Catriona Gray for her initiative in showing the world that Philippines is a great country.
“Because of you becoming Miss Universe, the Philippines… there is now awareness all over the world,” said Puyat.
Based on the report, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray responded that she is hopeful that she could promote the Philippines’ tourism in her own way.
The Filipina beauty queen said she is willing to support the entire country.
